There isn't much more that I can add to the previous descriptions but I'll try.
How about this?
Awesome road with beautiful scenery!
In my book, it's better than the TOD or Cherohala Skyway!
- 'OdieHD' (7/22/11)
This is a very pretty and twisty route through the western Shenandoah Valley to Marlington WV.
About 10-15 miles out of historic Lexington VA on R39 you'll come to Goshen Pass where the Maury River makes it's way trough a mountain pass.
There are many pull-offs and a picnic area at the Pass.
One of my favorites rides.
- Dan Quann (8/5/10)
This road should be the poster child for riding in West Virginia.
Don't miss it!

This an awesome touring road from beginning to end.
It has everything a riding enthusiast would want - plenty of turns, elevation changes, some wide-open areas and spectacular scenery with very little traffic.
WV 39 is well worth seeking-out!
- Brad Morgan, Carlisle, PA (5/28/08)
This is road has it all, tight turns, fast sweepers, over 3500 feet of elevation changes.
Beautiful mountain streams, farm land and sections through the Monongahela National Forest, where it is just you and the road.
