Nice 2 lane country paved road with scenic stops along the way.
There is places to camp, picnic and hike.
From Front Royal take 55 West to 678 South (make a left called Fort Valley Road) and it will take you through Shenandoah National Park.
We take 675 west, 11 north and then 55 east to make a circle.
Nice windy roads along some stretches and one hairpin turn on 675.

This is a wonderful ride with some nice places to stop.
My favorite is the overlook at the south end of the ride.
Just stop at the roadside parking and take a shore walk to a beautiful view of the Shenandoah Valley.
Nice place to have lunch.

Picturesque, winding valley road among farms.

A great little known ride in the Fort Valley of Virginia.
Nice mountain views.
- Rider from Winchester, Virginia (9/21/06)
Route starts out with many twists and turns as it follows a creek bed.
About half way into the route, it settles into a beautiful valley for more relaxed riding.
A great alternative to the parallel slabs of highway on either side of the mountain.
Continue on to Rt 675 south for 11 more miles of adveturesome twisty riding.
