Just moved to Arlington from Springtown. I loved all the rural roads that I had to ride out there and was worried I would have to drive 100 miles to find some good roads to cruise.
This one was a short ride down Cooper St. towards Mansfield.
It was a fun road with some curves and long straightaways that you could really open it up on.
Medium traffic and good scenery, and a lot of good places to get gas rest and eat.
I plan on hitting it again as soon as I can, checking out some of roads leading off from it.
I think Iím going to be OK after my move from the country and those fantastic roads I had out there.

It's not surprising that this road has gotten a lot of comments, but don't be fooled.
It's not that great, it's just close to the DFW metro area.
I will say that the part from west of Lillian to Joshua is the best, since there are some sweepers and the scenery gets better.
But the first several miles from Mansfield to past Lillian is just plain ugly and downright boring, with no good curves at all.
You're better off bypassing this one in favor of getting farther out to some much better roads.

The road between Mansfield and Joshua is nice.
Forget about riding the section between Joshua and Godley; it has heavy truck traffic, lots of potholes, and the scenery is mostly dairy feedlots.

This road has a hand full of good twisties.
The rest is kind of weak.

Only someone with a strong death wish would do the section from Godley to Joshua at night.
It is bad enough during the day due to heavy truck destruction, but is suicidal at night.
The road surface is very rough with high ridges.

Some nice sweeping curves with about a medium amount of traffic (Sunday afternoon).
But lots of pot holes and dips in the road with a few right in the middle of a curve, especially between 35W and Joshua.
Had to be real careful with the road conditions, since we were not familiar with the area.
Took a different road back home to avoid it a second time.

If you haven't tried this road don't delay too long, as it is fast being gobbled up by urban growth.
Also there is a bunch of pipline and drilling going on in this area right now, so there are more large trucks in the area than normal.

Joshua to Godley. Lots of traffic (including large trucks). No scenery.
A better ride is 2331 out of Godley to 1187 then 377 to Tarrant County.
See lots of big ranches and Benbrook lake.
