You had a listing and comments posted for the Foothills Parkway.
What you had was only partially correct.
The Foothills Parkway is proposed to be a much longer stretch of road, than what you have posted, sometime in the future.
Not really an important fact to those that are looking for roads to ride now, except that the portion you have shown on your map is not the only section of the Foothills Parkway that is currently open and in use.
There is a 7 or 8 mile stretch that is open between Interstate 40 at the 442 mile marker and Route 321 in Cosby, TN.
This stretch of the Parkway has four scenic pull of areas with some beautiful views for some great photo ops.
I use this stretch almost every time I go to Gatlinburg as it is the "backway in".
Much less traffic and much faster than going thru Sevierville and Pigeon Forge.
I am including some pictures of that stretch of the Foothills Parkway.
