If it were not for about 5 miles of road in Big South Fork this road would should be blue for sweepers.
The road surface is good, fairly scenic, and fun to ride, but I'd rather do it on my Harley than my sport bike, with the exception of the run through Big South Fork.
About the run in BSF, the speed limits are between 10 and 35 MPH, and rangers with radar = Federal Tickets (read not cheap).
I did the run on 4/5/10 and there was fine gravel on the turn-ins to a number of the left switchbacks, add in the potential hazards of the other park users and you need to be very careful.

I grew up in this area and started riding it when part was gravel.
It is one of my favorite rides.
Be careful on the uphill switchbacks in the park.
Lift a front wheel on exit, and get a ticket from a Ranger.
You would then have to go to Federal court. Have fun!

Ride this road every year.
Camp at the Bandy Creek Campgrounds in Big South Fork Park. Great road.
