Route 8 has 'nice sweepers'?
Downshift & grab some throttle!
You’re goin’ too dang slow!
Speed limit is 55 MPH!
If I was on my motor, I’d write you up for obstructing the flow of traffic.
Seriously though, this is one nice stretch of curvy asphalt.
I just wish it was longer.

Always a great ride - one of my favorites since I moved back East.
Tuggles Gap Motel & Restaurant is very rider-friendly, and you can catch wonderful local bluegrass every weekend at the Country Store in metropolitan downtown Floyd.
(Just to whet your appetite, here's a video of the run from Woolwine up to the Parkway.)

Highway 8 from Danbury, North Carolina, north through Stuart, Virginia and on to Floyd, Virginia is just fantastic.
Whether you love the beautiful scenery and fast sweepers or the well paved twisties as you near the Blue Ridge Parkway, you won't be disappointed!
A great restaurant in Floyd is the Blue Ridge Restaurant.
Great, home cooked food, good prices and pretty waitresses.
Beautiful little town too, very biker friendly.

A great ride to get to the beautiful Blue Ridge Parkway & come back to NC from VA.
Don't miss it if you have the chance!

Road goes from the Piedmont Region to the mountains.
It has nice sweepers and, north of Woolwine, Virginia, nice twisties.
There's a biker friendly restaurant at the Blue Ridge Parkway.
