My favorite stretch of Indiana.
After all, it goes right by my cabin.
Bikers are galore on Saturday and Sunday.
Every weekend bikers come from Cincinnati to Eastern Indiana to ride this section.
Best fried chicken in the state is in Oldenburg, Indiana.
There are two on the same block to choose from.
One is deep fried the other is pan fried.

This is a great road.
Nice curves, beautiful countryside, and interesting small towns along the way.
I love the elevation changes in a couple of spots.
There are some great little country roads that branch off of this road leading back into some valleys between the hills.
Great ride. It's about 90 minutes from my house to get there, but well worth it.
I try to ride it every season.

I have ridden this road several times.
Nice combination of 25 mph twisties, followed by a long 55mph straight away, then more 25 mph twisties.

This is one of my favorite rides, mainly because it is in my backyard.
Heading out from Batesville will put you through to SR-52.
Taking this road to Harrison is a nice ride.
More sweepers and scenic than twisty, but a nice road.
SR-229 has had a recent "tar-snake" infestation which has reduced its ridability.
Gravel is always a problem.
I once hit a patch of what I thought was sand and did a decent impersonation of a dirt-tracker.
Turns out I had hit a patch of feed-corn. Go figure.
