This is one the best roads I have found.
Just a shame it is so short.
The road changes name at the county line to St Helena Road.
The road is smooth and sweet at times.
At other times (mostly the Sonoma County side), it is showing signs that it needs to be repaved with the many pot holes and wrinkles.
It is a road with no line of sight around most of the turns.
It has no run off to the sides.
Even though it is mostly a marked 2-lane road, be careful for on coming cars being in your lane.
If you come across a vehicle going your way, there is very little chance for passing or for the vehicle to move out of your way.
You just stop the bike and wait a few minutes, listen as the silence gains volume, then go back to enjoying the turns.
You are finishing a turn to the left as you prep for a turn to the right, so often that even the tight unmarked switchbacks donít bother most riders.
Plan to have your grin cause facial pains.
